What We’re Building Today

The National HERO Cohort is a pioneering initiative uniting veterans, underserved populations, health systems, and community leaders to create a Trusted Data Ecosystem — one rooted in equity, autonomy, and real-world impact.

This isn’t a plan. It’s happening now: building frameworks, launching pilots, and forging alliances to change the way health and personal data are governed, shared, and trusted.

Invest in Health Systems that Serve Everyone

True health equity demands systemic change — not slogans.

According to the CDC, veterans are significantly more likely than the general population to experience barriers to mental health care, digital health access, and preventive services (CDC, 2022).

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs confirms that nearly 1 in 5 veterans report delayed or foregone medical care due to systemic access issues (VA, 2023).

Additionally, the Kaiser Family Foundation reports that underserved populations face compounded barriers when digital health tools are not designed with equity and access in mind (KFF, 2022).

Your support fuels the HERO Cohort’s mission to build trust, autonomy, and equitable innovation — from the ground up.

Donate today to help build a future where fairness is engineered into every decision.
