Health Equity Shouldn’t Be a Slogan.
It Should Be a System.
The National HERO Cohort is already building a trusted health ecosystem where individuals, communities, and data dignity come first.

The National HERO (Health Enhancing Resource Orchestration) initiative addresses critical unmet needs of United States military service members, veterans, first responders, and their families.
What We’re Building Today

The National HERO Cohort is a pioneering initiative uniting veterans, underserved populations, health systems, and community leaders to create a Trusted Health Data Ecosystem — one rooted in equity, autonomy, and real-world impact.

This isn’t a plan. It’s happening now: building frameworks, launching pilots, and forging alliances to change the way health data is governed, shared, and trusted.
National HERO Launch on September 5th, 2024
AI MINDSystems Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to pioneering exponential technology-enabled systemic interventions for the health and wellbeing of humanity, has announced Hassan Tetteh, MD, MBA as its Chief Veterans Health Officer. Under his leadership, on September 5th, 2024, the foundation launched its National HERO (Health Enhancing Resource Orchestration) initiative, which aims to address critical unmet needs of United States military service members, veterans, first responders, and their families. This is the full recording of that event.
The Problem We Are Solving
Traditional healthcare systems:

  • Silo patient data behind institutional walls.
  • Disempower individuals (especially marginalized populations) from controlling their own health futures.
  • Erase trust through breaches, opaque practices, and systemic bias.

Veterans and historically underserved communities face disproportionate barriers to privacy, agency, and equitable care.

Without trusted frameworks, health equity remains a slogan; not a reality.

Invest in Health Systems that Serve Everyone

True health equity demands systemic change — not slogans.

According to the CDC, veterans are significantly more likely than the general population to experience barriers to mental health care, digital health access, and preventive services (CDC, 2022).

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs confirms that nearly 1 in 5 veterans report delayed or foregone medical care due to systemic access issues (VA, 2023).

Additionally, the Kaiser Family Foundation reports that underserved populations face compounded barriers when digital health tools are not designed with equity and access in mind (KFF, 2022).

Your support fuels the HERO Cohort’s mission to build trust, autonomy, and equitable innovation — from the ground up.
